Doug is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Broadleaf Partners, LLC, a registered investment advisor serving high net worth individuals, foundations and institutions. He has been the Chief Investment Officer of the firm and Portfolio Manager of the Broadleaf Growth Equity Portfolio since its inception in August 2005.
Prior to launching Broadleaf, Doug spent over fifteen years with one of Ohio’s largest, independently owned investment advisory firms. While there, he developed and managed a research team consisting of six equity analysts and four portfolio managers and was also personally responsible for managing portfolios valued at more than $2.5 billion. Doug also launched a successful family of no load mutual funds and was a key player in the firm’s overall growth, helping to attract more than $30 billion in assets under management from individuals and institutions around the country.
Doug has been a regular guest on CNBC and has been quoted in numerous financial publications over the years, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Smart Money, Institutional Investor, and CNN Money.
Doug is a past president of the Greater East Ohio Alzheimer’s Association and a current member of Miami University’s Farmer School of Business Advisory Board. He is an active participant in his local church and an experienced Sunday school teacher. He enjoys reading and writing, running, biking and skiing. Doug is married and has four children, all in the Hudson School District.
